Rashad broke into Minnesota's record books Tuesday night.
No. 1 broke the franchise record for three pointers (140) in a season in the Timberwolves' 115-103 loss to Detroit (58-23).
The record had been held by Isiah Rider, set in the 1994-95 season when he dropped 139. McCants tied the mark at the 3:13 mark of the third quarter, and then surpassed Rider's mark at the 7:12 mark of the fourth. Rashad broke the record in far fewer attempts than Rider, needed only 339 to Rider's 396.
Coming off the bench to play 31 minutes in the Timberwolves (21-60) final road game of the season, No. 1 was shy about taking any shots and going for the record, firing 17 from the field and eight from three point range.
After shooting 2-for-7 in the first half, No. 1 caught fire in the second half, knocking down 6-of-11 shots to score 15 of his 19 points in the third and fourth quarter.
