Rashad helped lead Minnesota (21-59) to its first back-to-back wins in nearly a month.

No. 1 score 19 points on Friday against Orlando and then dropped a team-high 23 points on Saturday versus Memphis.

MAGICAL RALLY
Rashad and Minnesota borrowed a little magic from Orlando on Friday night.

No. 1’s five three-point baskets helped the Timberwolves comeback from a 14-point third quarter deficit to beat Orlando (50-30) 102-101.

Rashad scored 11 of his 19 points in the second half and made a three pointer with 1:17 left in the game that pulled the Timberwolves to within one point at 101-100, allowing for teammate Ryan Gomes to give Minnesota the win with two free throws in the final moments.

As reported by the Star Tribune:

"These are our playoffs," said Wolves coach Randy Wittman, who smiled broadly when the final seconds had ticked off the scoreboard clock. "That's a good one for us. It has been as brutal a schedule coming down the stretch as we've had and our guys stayed in it."

BIG NIGHT IN MEMPHIS
Rashad’s team-leading 23 points boosted Minnesota to a big lead over the Grizzles on Saturday night and the Timberwolves never looked back.

No. 1 made nine field goals on 13 attempts and grabbed three rebounds as the Timberwolves held off Memphis (22-58) to earn a 114-105 victory.

As reported to the Associated Press:

“We were moving the ball well,” teammate Randy Foye said. “It’s fun to play like that. You push the ball up, swing, swing, dunk. That’s so fun, man. I love playing like that.”

NEXT UP
Rashad and Minnesota play their final road game of the season on Tuesday night in Detroit, taking on the Pistons (57-23) at 6:30 PM.
